DONATE TODAY: SUPPORT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY IN QUEENSLAND
Montrose and Northcott CEOs

Montrose and Northcott join forces to provide disability support for children & young people

Montrose and Northcott have announced plans to join forces in order to support more young people with disability and deliver a more positive impact to the Queensland community.

The partnership will ensure existing Montrose customers continue to receive high quality services and supports well into the future, and also provides opportunities for new services to be made available.

At the heart of this decision are the interests of Montrose clients and their families, our staff, and how Montrose can continue to improve the lives of people with disability for many years to come.

Montrose has a 90-year history of supporting people with complex disabilities and their families. We are proud to be a place where clients feel they can come and be looked after. We are ‘where the heart is’ and it is our commitment to you that we will continue to fulfill this purpose under this partnership.

However, it has become apparent that we will be able to better support our clients with a greater diversity of services, with the support of a larger partner.

As of 1 July 2022, Montrose will become a subsidiary of The Northcott Society. Montrose will retain our brand and 90-year reputation as an expert in complex and rare disabilities. Every Montrose client will continue to be supported by their therapist or support worker with services as ‘Montrose’ and from our current facilities, and without disruption to services.

Who is Northcott?

Montrose and Northcott were both formed by Rotary more than 90 years ago to help children during the polio epidemic. Both organisations have continued to evolve to support the needs of people living with disability.

Today Northcott is one of Australia’s largest not-for-profit disability service organisations supporting people with disability, their families and carers throughout New South Wales, ACT and now Queensland.

Our two organisations share a collective vision for an inclusive society where people with disability are supported to live their best lives. Our shared values mean that Northcott is well placed to support Montrose to continue to individually care for each of our clients and their families.
