This week, we welcomed Minister for Social Services, Dan Tehan MP, to Montrose for a meeting to discuss the NDIS. Montrose CEO Peter Stewart was joined by CPL CEO Rhys Kennedy and Multicap Queensland CEO Joanne Jessop as well as Montrose client Tristram and a number of senior Montrose staff.
Their discussion covered the positives and challenges within the NDIS and the Minister was keen to hear about both. He was able to share updates on work to refine and improve the scheme – both for participants and providers.
Tristram has received support from Montrose from many years and is in the early stages of accessing the NDIS. He described his hopes for the scheme and the goals he believes the NDIS can support him to achieve. He also spoke with Mr Tehan after the meeting on a short video posted on Twitter here:
