Keeping you safe – Coronavirus update

This article is to update you on what Montrose is doing to keep our customers safe as we enter the flu season and as Coronavirus numbers increase globally.

  • Montrose is following current Government guidelines with regard to reducing the spread of infection.
  • We are ensuring staff are fully aware of good hygiene practices to ensure our facilities are a safe place for customers, staff and visitors.
  • Our staff are also being asked to reconsider travel to high risk areas and are following the advice of the Australian Government including self isolation if required.

All Montrose services are continuing as normal although we will review Lifestyle events which involve large events and exercise caution as required.

Please do continue to attend your therapy appointments unless you have reason to self isolate or suspect you may have been exposed to Coronavirus. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns at this time and we will continue to update you over the coming weeks via email, our Facebook page and at your therapy appointments.

You can help prevent the spread of Coronavirus and flu

Please help us reduce the spread of infection by practising good hygiene including washing hands regularly, not touching your eyes, nose or mouth and maintaining social distancing.

Hand sanitiser is available in all Montrose centres for customers and staff. Please also remind your children about the importance of washing hands. You can download a factsheet on hand washing here or watch this video with younger children:

Have you recently returned from travel?

Current Australian Government advice is that special restrictions apply if you have travelled from mainland China, Iran, Republic of Korea or Italy, or been in close contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus.

Those affected by this advice should isolate themselves and call their doctor. Those who are self isolating should not attend therapy or other appointments at Montrose.

This advice is updated regularly. For up to date information, check the Australian Government Department of Health website here.

Isolate should you become unwell

As always we ask that you keep in mind the health and wellbeing of other customers who may be more vulnerable to serious illness. If you are unwell with cold or flu symptoms we ask that you stay home. Where coronavirus is suspected current guidance states that you should isolate for 14 days. This includes attendance at Montrose therapy, Lifestyle activities or other appointments.

Thank you for following this advice and helping keep our customers and staff safe.
