The former CEO of Montrose Therapy and Respite Services, Mr Darrel Bourke, received an award in the Australia Day honours list announced this week. Mr Bourke was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for service to children with a disability.
Darrel Bourke retired from Montrose in 2014 after 18 years as CEO. Montrose Board President Paul Bird commented:
“Everyone at Montrose congratulates Darrel on this well deserved honour. He showed huge commitment to our organisation and the children and families we support over many years. It is great to see his dedication recognised with this award.
“Darrel was responsible for managing Montrose through a period of major change including our new therapy and administration facilities at Darra as well as the Respite Centre at Yeerongpilly.”
