Current availability for Assistive Technology Assessments

Do you have upcoming equipment needs? Assistive Technology — sometimes more simply referred to as ‘equipment’ — includes everything from wheelchairs to PODD books, and can make a significant impact on improving independence and quality of life.

Montrose Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists are offer appointments specifically for Assistive Technology Assessments. We tend to have additional availability during school holiday periods.

Our therapists are experienced in assessing and prescribing for complex needs, specifically in children and young people. Montrose offers both in-clinic and at-home assessments for a full range of equipment needs, including:

  • Mobility equipment (e.g. wheelchairs, walkers)
  • Household equipment (e.g. bathing, toileting, standers and seating options)
  • Transfer equipment (e.g. mobile, ceiling and standing hoists)
  • Vehicle modifications (e.g. ramps, hoists, tie-down systems and swivel car seats)
  • Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)

Montrose therapists are knowledgeable, friendly and invested in you. During an assessment, we will collaborate with you to identify equipment solutions that will be most suitable for your needs, preferences and goals. Together, you will then develop a plan for reviewing and trialling of options, to ensure the equipment prescribed is the best match for you.
