Generous staff at the Forest Lake Burrito Bar worked their sombreros off to raise $4400 for Montrose. Burritos were offered at a bargain $2 price tag with the full amount going to the worthwhile cause. The lengthy queues were entertained by a Mariachi Band who added to the festive feel of the day.
The former CEO of Montrose Therapy and Respite Services, Mr Darrel Bourke, received an award in the Australia Day honours list announced this week. Mr Bourke was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for service to children with a disability.
