PlayAble sessions now available

Montrose is now offering Playable sessions at three of our Centres.

PlayAble is a research-based 40-week program designed for children aged two-to-five who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or are in the process of getting a diagnosis.

The facilitated program blends therapy sessions with families through playgroup activities. PlayAble provides a platform to strengthen family and child engagement.

PlayAble’s ‘play’ component replicates a playgroup. It is delivered by a trained Playgroup Queensland therapist and provides activities suitable for children with a range of diverse needs.

Sessions focus on improving a child’s:

  • communication skills
  • social skills
  • play skills
  • cognitive skills
  • fine and gross motor skills
  • adaptive behaviour skills

Sessions at Montrose are available as follows:

  • Brisbane South (Darra): Tuesdays 9:30-11:30
  • Slacks Creek: Thursdays 9:30-11:30
  • Gold Coast (Arundel): Thursdays 12:30-2:30

Cost is $121.84 per group session. All funding sources are the same cost.

You can find out more on the Playable website here or by downloading our flyer.
