Physiotherapist – BRISBANE NORTH

Full-time Permanent (Graduate Opportunity)

We are looking for a Physiotherapist to join our Brisbane North team. The rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across Queensland will enable us to help more people reach their goals through therapy and support services.

If you’d like to join our team, then read on.

Let’s start with the basics. To have a chat with us about this role you must have:

  • Mandatory recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA (or ability to obtain registration).
  • Experience and / or interest in paediatrics and / or physical impairment is preferred.  Montrose will support experienced therapists who want to make a transition to paediatric practice.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Current CPR certificate (or able to obtain prior to commencement).

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Design, implement and evaluate interventions for children and young adults with physical and other associated disabilities and developmental delay.
  • Provide evidence based therapy to achieve customer goals within available resources.
  • Provide discipline specific assessments.
  • Achieving customer goals within the available resources.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders – customers, families, referrers and colleagues to address agreed outcomes.
  • Caseload management and activity reporting.

Speech Pathologist – TOWNSVILLE

Part-time (3-days p/w)

Graduate Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our team to service our Townsville caseload on a permanent full time basis. We will look at and consider applications from both experienced as well as newly graduated Speech Pathologists.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Design, implement and evaluate interventions for children and young adults with physical and other associated disabilities, developmental delay and / or autism.
  • Provide evidence based therapy to achieve customer goals within available resources.
  • Provide discipline specific assessments.
  • Achieving customer goals within the available resources.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders – customers, families, referrers and colleagues to address agreed outcomes.
  • Caseload management and activity reporting.

Direct Support Workers – MULTIPLE POSITIONS AND LOCATION

We regularly recruit Direct Support Workers for customers in a number of areas.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical requirements of providing support as a Direct Support Worker.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the care needs of customers with complex needs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professional practice in the support of individual’s rights and choices
  • Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality in a working environment
  • Current ‘C’ class Australian driver’s licence.
  • Ability to use and access a range of ICT systems and media
  • Be eligible to apply for a working with children check (blue card) and an exemption notice (yellow card) through The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services
  • Be an Australian or NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident, or have a relevant visa.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Personal care assistance and manual handling.
  • Plan and implement and support recreational and community based activities.
  • Maintain and update customer files.
  • General light domestic duties.
  • Support of home based therapy programs (In-Home support).
