Direct Support Workers – Multiple Locations

We regularly recruit Direct Support Workers for customers in a number of areas.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical requirements of providing support as a Direct Support Worker.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the care needs of customers with complex needs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professional practice in the support of individual’s rights and choices
  • Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality in a working environment
  • Current ‘C’ class Australian driver’s licence.
  • Ability to use and access a range of ICT systems and media
  • Be eligible to apply for a working with children check (blue card) and an exemption notice (yellow card) through The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services
  • Be an Australian or NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident, or have a relevant visa.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Personal care assistance and manual handling.
  • Plan and implement and support recreational and community based activities.
  • Maintain and update customer files.
  • General light domestic duties.
  • Support of home based therapy programs (In-Home support).

Service Center Manager – Toowoomba

We need a Service Centre manager in Toowoomba to drive the financial performance of the Service Centre and lead our team of professional clinicians and support staff. You’ll drive a high performance culture through excellent people management including mentoring and coaching. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do and you will follow a “know your customer” methodology. Running a profitable centre means you will also participate in business development activities and work to improve productivity to ensure your centre meets customer and income targets.

To join the team, you’ll need (selection criteria):

  • Tertiary qualification in business, human services or other relevant field.
  • High level of experience in an administrative role.
  • Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme is an advantage.
  • Financial skills including budgeting, monitoring performance, and the ability to forecast income and expenses.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the delivery of services to customers and exceed quality service expectations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying human resource management strategies to manage and develop a team.
  • Ability to implement change and improvements to work practices.

To be considered for this role, you must also have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence.
  • Current or be eligible to apply for a Working with Children Check (blue card) & Disability Services positive notice card (yellow card).

Speech Pathologist – Toowoomba

We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified Speech Pathologist on a full time basis to help service and grow our service centre in the Toowoomba & Darling Downs region.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Design, implement and evaluate interventions for children and young adults with physical and other associated disabilities, developmental delay and / or autism.
  • Provide evidence based therapy to achieve customer goals within available resources.
  • Provide discipline specific assessments.
  • Achieving customer goals within the available resources.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders – customers, families, referrers and colleagues to address agreed outcomes.
  • Caseload management and activity reporting.

To join the team, you’ll need (selection criteria):

  • Mandatory recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Prior experience in disability management and/or paediatrics is preferred.  Montrose will support experienced therapists who want to make a transition to paediatric practice.

Team Assistant – Brisbane North

We are currently seeking a switched on, customer focused and experienced Administrator to join the team at our Strathpine service centre for 32 hours per week until May 2019. You will be required to provide exceptional customer service to new and existing customers whilst providing high level support to our team of Allied Health Professionals. This key role incorporates a diverse range of tasks including:

  • Reception and direct customer service
  • Taking payments
  • Appointment booking for centre based and community based services
  • Managing customer information and data entry in the client management system
  • Overseeing some of the day to day operations of the service centre

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ie clinical or allied health practice, work in disability sector
  • Current Australian driver’s licence.
