Speech Pathologist - Townsville

We are currently looking for a part time Speech Pathologist who is available for approximately 24 hours per week (with potential to increase) to join our dynamic Townsville team. The Townsville Team provides local services to Townsville, and outreach services south to Mackay, north to Cairns, and their surrounding areas. Services may be provided in the service centre, home or community.

  1. Mandatory recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  2. Prior experience in disability management and/or paediatrics is preferred. Montrose will support experienced therapists who want to make a transition to paediatric practice.
  3. A current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for service provision.

Team Assistant - Townsville

We are currently seeking a switched on, customer focused and experienced Administrator to join our Townsville Team in a permanent role. This role, based from our service centre in Townsville, will see you provide exceptional support to new and existing customers with regards to Montrose services and provide high level support to our team of Allied Health Professionals.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage customer bookings and accurately maintain the customer management system.
  • Assist the therapy team with reporting and statistics, as well as liaising with the Finance team in relation to funding and invoicing.
  • Assist with and maintaining therapist’s resources.
  • Provide reception relief and general administrative assistance.
  • Set up and participation in group therapy programs when required (hydrotherapy etc.).

Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to Montrose. In order to effectively assist customers and their enquiries, you will be required to understand the scope of services that Montrose can offer and identify how they will match customer needs. This will provide further assistance to the Therapists and Regional Services Manager and will ultimately make you an integral member of the team.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Tertiary studies in a relevant field or at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Current or be eligible to apply for a Working with Children Check (blue card) & Disability Services positive notice card (yellow card).
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Excellent administration, attention to detail & computer skills.
  • Experience with database management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work unsupervised.

Support Services Coordinator - Darra

We are currently seeking an experienced and customer focused Support Services Coordinator to join us in a full-time permanent role. Reporting to the Support Services Manager, you will work alongside another Coordinator to plan and coordinate personal attendant care and community access services for new and existing customers throughout South East Queensland.  You will also assist in the transition of customers to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop, plan and coordinate personal care services to people with a disability.
  • Plan and manage individual funding packages.
  • Source, recruit, roster and manage a team of direct support staff.
  • Monitor service budgets and manage services accordingly.
  • Assist with the reporting and billing of services.

In order to effectively develop and coordinate personal care service plans, you will be required to understand the scope of services that Montrose offers and identify how they will match customer needs. Your knowledge of a broad range of disabilities, as well as your ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the services offered by Montrose, will see you become an integral member of the organisation.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Experience in a Community Services Coordination or Case Management role.
  • Experience in assessing the support needs of customers with a disability.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and organisation skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer and administration skills (predominantly Microsoft Office and rostering systems)
  • A current driver’s license.

  • Mandatory recognised tertiary qualification in Psychology and current registration with AHPRA (either general or provisional registration).
  • Prior experience in disability management and/or paediatrics is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred. People with less experience, including graduates, may apply.
  • Experience with Behaviour Management Planning and implementing strategies is desirable
  • Experience with paediatric assessments is desirable
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team is preferable
  • A current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for service provision
