Physiotherapist - Gold Coast

We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified Physiotherapist to help service and grow our Gold Coast service centre working 24 hours per week. The rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across Queensland will enable us to help more people reach their goals through therapy and support services.

Let’s start with the basics. To have a chat with us about this role you must have:

  • Mandatory recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Prior experience in paediatrics and working with people with autism is preferred.  Montrose will support experienced therapists who want to make a transition to paediatric practice.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Current CPR certificate (or able to obtain prior to commencement).

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Design, implement and evaluate interventions for children and young adults with physical and other associated disabilities, developmental delay and / or autism.
  • Provide evidence based therapy to achieve customer goals within available resources.
  • Provide discipline specific assessments.
  • Achieving customer goals within the available resources.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders – customers, families, referrers and colleagues to address agreed outcomes.
  • Caseload management and activity reporting.

Allied Health Assistant - Ipswich

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Ipswich. Under the supervision of the Allied Health Professionals, you’ll be required to provide support to customers with therapy programs (predominantly hydrotherapy). This involves providing physical and personal care to customers in and out of the water, and ensuring customer safety standards are practiced and enforced at all times.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Minimum Certificate III in a relevant field of study or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in providing hydrotherapy programs (or ability to learn).
  • Experience in providing physical and personal care to customers with a disability.
  • Experience in supporting customers to meet their goals through various programs and activities.
  • A current drivers’ license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Current (or eligible for) a Blue Card and Yellow Card Exemption.

We are currently recruiting Direct Support Workers for clients located at: Sippy Downs, North Lakes, Indooroopilly, Springwood, Bethania and Kangaroo Point.

  • Current First Aid and CPR.
  • Current (or eligible for) a Blue Card and Yellow Card Exemption.
  • Cert III (minimum) in Disability or studying a similar qualification in a related field.
  • A current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and an understanding of the importance of professional boundaries and practice.
  • Ability to work flexible working hours – including early starts, late finishes, awake shifts & sleepovers.
  • General computer skills and a high level of energy & enthusiasm towards the work you do.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Personal care assistance and manual handling.
  • Plan and implement and support recreational and community based activities.
  • Maintain and update customer files.
  • General light domestic duties.
  • Support of home based therapy programs (In-Home support).
