The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will be available in Toowoomba in January 2017 and in Ipswich from July 2017. To allow us to work with existing and new customers in these areas, Montrose will be opening Service Centres in both locations in the coming months.
We are actively looking at office space in both locations and will be recruiting staff soon. The local teams will focus on physical and neuro-muscular conditions as well as early intervention and developmental delay. Initially, Montrose will provide therapy services including physiotherapy, speech pathology and occupational therapy across all age groups.
Montrose Board President Paul Bird comments
“We have provided services to customers in both Toowoomba and Ipswich for many years. The establishment of a permanent Service Centre will allow us to reach many more people as the NDIS rolls out in these areas.
“The NDIS aims to make disability support fairer and provide people with greater choice. Montrose is ready to engage with people to develop support that works for them.
“We look forward to further developing our work with partners in the area and continuing to play a part in the local community.”
More information on the NDIS is available here.
