Montrose has appointed experienced government and education sector leader Peter Stewart as its new CEO.
Announcing the appointment Montrose President, Andrew Buchanan, said Mr Stewart was ideally suited to leading the organisation into the next phase of its growth.
“The next two years will see the full rollout of the NDIS across Queensland. Montrose has a clear strategy to deliver our mission in this new environment and we know Peter will lead us on that journey effectively, ” he said.
Peter joined Montrose in June 2015 as General Manager Major Projects to lead a number of IT and infrastructure projects. His previous roles include Deputy Director General at the Department of Communities, Queensland where his post included responsibilities for public housing. Prior to this, in Victoria, he led a team to successfully deliver $2.4b of capital works in Victorian Schools funded through the Economic Stimulus Plan. He starts as Montrose CEO on Monday 9 October.
“I’m very excited to take on the role at this time. Montrose has a fantastic staff team who are committed to providing high quality services to our customers. We have clear plans for the future as the NDIS comes to more areas and I am confident we will continue to grow and develop in the coming years.
“There are few organisations in Queensland with a longer history than Montrose. It’s an honour to be appointed CEO and I am looking forward to working with our customers and staff to deliver excellent services for people with a disability.”
